A high-quality beer from Spain is about to become a hit in the UK. 

Estrella Galicia announced the launch a new British company to expand their presence in pubs and retail outlets across the country.

A deal between the Galician Brewer and major British distributor Greene King marks an important step towards making their beloved beer available to more pubs in Britain.

Francisco Ucha said, “We are establishing roots in the UK,” as managing director of Hijos de Rivera’s parent company.

Estrella Galicia is already present in the UK, but plans to expand its presence.

This will improve our distribution across the UK and bring us closer to British customers.

The family owned brewery employs 1,800 employees worldwide, and distributes products to 73 different countries.

Aitor de Artaza, director of Estrella Galicia Internacional, highlighted the strategic importance of the UK market, saying the new subsidiary will ‘drive the positioning of our brands in the British market’ while improving service to customers.

The company’s new UK operation, trading as Estrella Galicia UK Limited, will handle the firm’s full beverage portfolio, which extends beyond their flagship beer to include other brands such as 1906 beer, Cabreiroá mineral water, and Maeloc cider.

Estrella Galicia’s distinctive star-logo is becoming increasingly common in pubs, restaurants and other establishments across Britain.
