Estepona welcomes artists and art-lovers this Saturday, May 10th, for its fifth quick-fire painting competition. The event, called ‘Estepona, Jardín de la Costa del Sol’, invites local and visiting artists to paint a scene from the town in just four hours.

The painters of Estepona will be setting up their stands from 9am to 2pm in order to capture the streets, corners, and charms of Estepona. The event is open for artists of any style, but they must adhere to a 50x70cm rigid surface. Participants can register their canvases and get them stamped between 8am and 9am in the Casa de las Tejerinas on Plaza de las Flores.

The first prize will be 600 euros. Second prize will be 300 euros. The results will be announced by 2:30pm. A professional jury selects the winners. The winning pieces will go into Estepona’s local art collection. Other works will be selected for a public exhibit at Casa de las Tejerinas between 13 and 24 May.

This event gives you the chance to experience art in action while exploring Estepona in an entirely new way. Visitors can observe the artists in action and learn how they bring their visions to life.

The contest is open to all and will bring together seasoned artists as well as new talent, both from the Costa del Sol area and beyond.
