Estepona Festival to Honor World Culture and Cuisine

Estepona festival honoring world cuisine and culture postponed till 25 April

Estepona is hosting its annual Día del Residente Extranjero (foreign residents’ day) next to the Mirador del Carmen viewpoint on Saturday 25 April (instead of the previously advertised 11 April due to the risk of rain), an event that showcases the traditions of the town’s vast foreign population. This year marks the 25th anniversary for this festival that has become a symbol for integration and community.

This event is held annually to foster coexistence between the residents of Estepona of various nationalities, and to introduce them to the culture and folklore from each of the countries participating.

This is a great opportunity to try local cuisines and buy artisanal goods from the market stalls. Participants from Belgium, Sweden and Hungary will be present at this year’s event. Also, representatives of the UK, Ireland, Malta Romania, Italy, Ukraine as well as the United States are expected to attend.

This event will feature a program of music and folklore performed by artists from different countries as well as performances by dance academies in Estepona.

This event starts at 2pm. It is also an opportunity to honour individuals who have excelled in their activities, commitments and contributions to Estepona’s community.
