Endanged Shark Spotted Off Marbella Coast
A shark in danger was spotted near Marbella on Saturday. The basking Shark made a surprise arrival around 300 feet off the beach. Marine biologists from the Fundación Aula del Mar Mediterráneo have said that these sharks are not uncommon in the Mediterranean, though it is rare for them to swim to close to shore.

About 300 feet away from the shore, a basking shark could be seen.
The Basking Shark can grow to 12 meters in length. They are completely harmless to humans. They are the second-largest species of fish on the planet. They are an endangered specie. The liver oil from the sharks was used to light up lamps in the past.
