Duran Duran’s only Spanish performance this summer will take place at the Starlite Festival, in Marbella, on July 9. This is the first time the legendary British band has performed at the Costa del Sol event. The group will perform timeless classics throughout their long and illustrious careers.
Duran Duran was formed in Birmingham, England in 1978. They have sold more than 100 million records in a career spanning four decades. The band’s legacy is indelible. With 18 Top 100 hits in the US, and 21 Top 20 hits here in the UK. Marbella’s crowd will be on their feet for the entire night with classics like Hungry Like the Wolf. Rio, Girls on Film, and Ordinary World.
In 2025, the quartet led by Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and bassist John Taylor will continue to captivate their audiences. Their 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, eight lifetime achievement awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame show their enduring influence. They composed the only James Bond (A View to a Kill), which reached number one in the world.
Duran Duran’s newest album, Danse Macabre (2023), features a mix fresh tracks and bold reimaginings from their classics. This proves that they can attract both old fans and new ones. Do not miss this historic concert at Starlite Festival. It is one of the highlights of Marbella’s summer music scene.
They will be on stage at the Starlite Festival at 10pm on Wednesday, July 9, in Cantera de Nagüeles in the Sierra Blanca Urbanisation. Ticket prices start at €115.
