Does your phone listen to you secretly? The truth is even more shocking

One time you mention purchasing new glasses. You suddenly see ads on your phone for eyewear sales and eye tests. Coincidence?  You are not going crazy.  The theory that phones secretly listen to conversations to target advertisements for targeting continues to persist.  Even though tech companies claim that they do not use our microphones, this reality is far more advanced and creepy.

What’s really going on?

This information can be incredibly accurate and is based on your digital behaviour rather than your spoken words.  You think your smartphone knows too much about you? You might be surprised to learn that it knows where you are hiding. This 5-second hack could save time. 

Are you safe? 

In the strictest sense, yes…. Apps do not have the right to record your activities without your permission. However, in practice, privacy is almost a non-issue.  Your search history, app usage, browsing history and device movement can be used to predict your actions before you even do them. The danger is not the phone, the camera, or the microphone. It’s the data you provide and the permissions that are granted. AI-generated content is also causing controversy.
