Club Mickey, the official Disney fan association in Spain, recently donated to the Little Wish Foundation. This group works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and teens who are critically ill by turning their dreams into reality.

Wishes come true with the help of others

The members of the Club organised a family friendly charity event at Malaga Factory. The event featured a variety of activities to entertain both children and their families. Guests could enjoy free drawing workshops led by designer and animator Víctor Andrey, face painting by Arantxa Gajate, colouring sessions, board games, classic video games, and contests organised by the Mickeymanía project.

Attendees who donated received “solidarity dots” inspired by Minnie, which could then be exchanged for Disney merchandise, Marvel, Star Wars and Lego, generously donated by Blue Ocean publishing and the club.

The initiative raised €926.76, which was handed over to the Little Wish foundation in Madrid by Club Mickey members Nuria Santiago and Susana Míguez. Jon Valera, the Club Mickey president, stressed the club’s commitment towards helping children. “We believe that dreams can heal and it is wonderful to use our passion to make a change.”

Club Mickey, in addition to its charitable work, has promoted cultural, artistic, and educational activities. These include meetings throughout Spain, conferences and guided tours as well as commemorative events. Notably, the club recently installed a plaque in Málaga to honour the city’s first Disney fan group, established in 1935. It has also hosted talks in Barcelona with Disney comic artists Marga Querol and Cynthia C. Pineda, and in Madrid with voice actors José Padilla, the official Spanish voice of Mickey Mouse, and David Robles, who voices characters such as Nick Wilde in Zootropolis.

Fans as a force of good

Club Mickey was founded in June 2025 and already has more than 270 members. This includes former Disney employees as well as influencers and content creators. Although its primary purpose is to unite Disney enthusiasts and celebrate artistic creativity, the club places a great emphasis on supporting causes related to children.

Club Mickey promotes Spanish creativity through events, talks and exhibitions. It also spreads joy and magic to needy children.
