Despicable cafe proprietor in Spain cheated aged buyer out of €22k over two years by overcharging him for breakfast

A HEARTLESS Granada cafe proprietor ripped off an aged buyer to the tune of €22,000 by over-charging him for breakfast between 2023 and 2025.

The Policia Nacional have arrested the brazen 57-year-old businessman in a probe they named as Operation Breakfast.

He was subsequently given a 16-month jail time period, which assuming that it’s a first offence, he won’t need to serve.

No additional particulars about him or the situation of his cafeteria have been made public- apparently for ‘knowledge safety causes’.

It’s not been made clear both whether or not the sufferer has been absolutely refunded.

A 94-year-old man had breakfast day by day on the institution and paid by card.

The proprietor stated the transportable card reader didn’t have a adequate sign for a transaction to undergo, which gave him the excuse to get out of his sight to make a cost.

As a result of he was handled properly as an everyday buyer, the sufferer didn’t suspect that he was being overcharged.

The preliminary thefts clocked in €30 over a two-year interval between June 2023 and June 2025, ending up with expenses of as much as €450.

The sufferer, as a consequence of his superior age, was not conscious of the massive quantities that have been being credited to him.

The Policia Nacional carried out an investigation and concluded that the fraudulent card transactions exceeded €22,000.
