Dean Huijsen of Marbella has signed a contract with Real Madrid. The centre-back, whose parents are Dutch and who was raised in Marbella by Dutch parents but is a Malaga CF enthusiast, signed the deal.
The young Bournemouth defender, who honed his skills in Malaga’s youth academy before joining Juventus, has caught the attention of ‘Los Blancos’, who are prepared to pay his £50 million sterling for his release clause.
Real Madrid finalized the documentation with Bournemouth in order to get the Costa del Sol boy ready for the Club World Cup, which will be held in the US summer of 2025. Huijsen is a 20-year-old who has become a star in the Premier League. He will also be making his debut for the Spanish National Team. Real Madrid, with its defensive deficiencies, has been unable to find a suitable replacement for Huijsen’s rise.
Malaga CF, where Huijsen played from age 10 after being scouted by Carlos Jiménez from Marbella Costa Unida, stands to gain from FIFA’s solidarity mechanism. This rule allocates 5 per cent of the transfer fee to formative clubs, potentially netting Malaga around €516,000, with San Félix, now linked to Juventud de Torremolinos, also benefiting with approximately €150,000.
Huijsen started his football journey at the age 5 in Marbella after his father retired. Huijsen began his career in Marbella at the age of five, after his father retired from football.
