THE PERFECT PORTAL: The exciting journey that has just seen the expat owners of property web giant Kyero join forces with Idealista - CSN News

CSN News: THE PERFECT PLATFORM: An exciting journey in which the expat owners who own property website Kyero have joined forces with Idealista.

When Louise and Martin Dell came to Spain in 2003 they did so like many other expats who wanted to escape the stress of their home lives.

Both were in stressful jobs and wanted to change careers.

They quickly opened a property company after many frustrations and mistakes in purchasing homes in Spain.

After just two decades, they have launched a successful online portal. Kyero One of Europe’s biggest property giants has bought the building.

Idealista has just announced a new exciting partnership with the British-run property portal.

The partnership, which is still undisclosed, will be finalised in the spring of this year, and the two companies will merge while continuing to work independently.

Idealista, the high-tech platform that Kyero uses to serve its global estate agent customers, will now be accessible to 8000 Kyero clients.

The couple launched the company in the Andalucian seaside resort Almunecar where they had lived for many years. It grew to 33 employees spread across six countries.

The team is based in Bath in the UK and manages a portal with over 850,000 listings in Europe, mostly in Spain, Portugal, and France.

In 2003, the Dells began their adventure when they drove from London south to Spain in a VW Combi.

Begur on the Costa Brava is where they chose to settle.

After buying a plot of land and trying to start a diving company, they ran into some problems. And it was also ‘quite a shock’ to find snow settling on the resort in winter, so they jumped back in their van and headed south, eventually arriving on the Costa Tropical of Granada.

Martin pursued his diving passion in La Herradura. The couple set up their watersports company soon after.

They set up their own property business because of the many issues that arise when buying property.

This website included many tips on how to navigate Spain’s legal system and avoid other problems. It quickly became one of Spain’s most popular online resources.

Kyero members met for a conference at Torremolinos

Kyero has become the most popular online platform in the UK for buyers of overseas European property.

Louise said, “This partnership validates the hard work of our team and opens exciting opportunities to enhance our agents’ and property buyers’ experience.”

We have admired Idealista for many years as Southern Europe’s premier real estate marketplace. We look forward to working closely with them.

Jesus Encinar (founder and Chairman of idealista) said: “I am thrilled to welcome Kyero Louise Martin and their talented team to Idealista.”

He said: “Together, our markets can deliver greater value and innovation to clients.”
