CSN News: The countdown for Mojacar Festival 2025 has begun.

The countdown for Mojacar carnival 2025 has begun. It is one of the most anticipated festivals of the year.

The celebration will take place from the 21st to the 5th February, with locals as well as visitors able to enjoy this magical event.

On Friday, February 21st, the Children’s Carnival will kick off the festivities. The youngest children will enjoy the bouncy castles as well as the craft workshops, musical games, and dances at the Multi-Use Centre. At 10pm the day will conclude with a concert featuring DJ SEE and Los Lagartos. This event is sure to be a hit for all who attend.

On Saturday 22nd of February, the party will take to the streets with the traditional Parade of Troupes, which will go along Mojacar Playa from Río Abajo to the Commercial Centre from 5pm. The Multi-Use Centre will host a Dance Competition in the evening at 8pm. Participants will showcase their talents and show off rhythms, creativity, and talent.

The Grand Carnival Party, which is a night full of fun and music, will begin later. Live performances will be given by Orquesta El Norte, and DJ Raul Vasco will keep the party going until the early morning hours.

The celebrations will culminate in the burial of the Sardine on 5th March. It is a symbolic act which will mark the end of these grand festivities. A procession of good humor and tradition will be held in the streets starting at 7pm.

Francisco Garcia Cerda is the Mayor of Mojacar and he has stressed the importance of this festival to the municipality. “Carnival has become one of the most important festivals in our country. It is a festival that grows every year, both in terms of creativity and participation.” Mojacar should shine in its Carnival, and both the locals as well as visitors should enjoy an experience full of joy and togetherness.

Pascual Artero commented on his own behalf:We have designed a program for every age group, including activities for the youngest children, traditional events, and a huge party that will be unforgettable. “We invite you to enjoy the Carnival, which will be spectacular.”

Mojácar Council encourages all residents and visitors to join in this celebration that every year brings together hundreds of people in a unique and festive atmosphere.
