The Eastern Almeria region is poised for a significant transformation with the introduction of a Plan de Acción Integral (PAI) (Comprehensive Action Plan) spearheaded by the Diputacion Provincial (Provincial Council).

This ambitious initiative is designed to improve urban planning and promote sustainable development in 13 municipalities, including Huercal-Overa and Antas. It also aims at improving the quality-of-life for residents of Turre, Vera and Mojacar.

PAI’s focus on sustainable and intelligent travel is at its core. By improving infrastructure, and mobility, this plan aims at balancing territorial development while encouraging economic growth, all the while maintaining the natural beauty of the region. The improvement of pedestrian and cycling paths will not only promote local economies, but will also encourage healthier lifestyles.
