Ronda Road Reopens Partially Next week  Since March, the road connecting Ronda to the Costa Del Sol is closed due to a landslide that occurred during heavy rains.

Ronda Road Reopens Partly Next Week

The main road that connects Ronda and the Costa Del Sol partially will reopen Monday 14th. July.  A landslide damaged the bridge at Los Madronos and completely blocked the A-397 on 8th March, after storms in the area. The reopening to traffic of one lane will bring relief to thousands of motorists that make the trip every day.

The repairs are expected to be completed in August.  The work is costing around €3.5 million. To protect the road in the future from landslides, defenses are being built. Twenty strong team with specialist equipment including a crane of 200 tonnes have worked at 100 metre heights to repair the carriageway.
