Horror crash on Fuengirola seafront leaves two dead, three seriously injured - CSN News

CSN News reports that two people were killed and three others seriously injured in a horrific crash near the Fuengirola beachfront.

Two people were killed and three others seriously injured by a car accident on a promenade near Fuengirola Carvajal, Tuesday evening.

The accident that occurred on the promenade in Carvajal also caused several minor injuries.

The second death was not disclosed.

A car was seen travelling at a speed well over the limit along the promenade.

One witness said that he heard the car’s ‘screeching tyres’ before veering off a curve, striking a lamppost and sliding up on to the terrace of a pizzeria.

The car hit multiple tables before stopping on the road next to a parked automobile. 

The aftermath of the crash was shattered glasses, broken tables, and destroyed infrastructure.

Local and National Police arrived on the scene in order to secure the area, and begin an investigation into the cause of the accident and whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
