Residents and visitors to Malaga can now enjoy the characteristic warmth of spring after six weeks of unrest.
The State Meteorological Agency Aemet predicts a major shift in weather patterns for this week. In certain areas inland, temperatures are expected to rise to 30C.
From Wednesday, a high-pressure system is expected to establish itself in the region. This will lead to an increase in temperature.

On Friday and Saturday temperatures are expected to reach 26C in Malaga and along the coast.
On Saturday, temperatures in the inland areas such as Coin and Alora could exceed 30C.

Only isolated light showers are possible.
This forecast comes following a period that was marked by heavy rainfall, storms and cool temperatures.
Many in the area will welcome the sunshine and warmth that is expected.
