The Guardia Civil said 39-year-old Djinn Maury had been fatally stabbed ‘months earlier’ inside the building in Sagunto, following a hand-to-hand fight.

The murder happened in a building known as the ‘Taller del Aleman’.
The building was named after its German owner Franz Gotz, who built it in the late 1960s as a workshop for cars.
Two young people with a passion for visiting abandoned buildings in cities discovered Djinn’s body on April 2.
There were numerous bloodstains visible on the staircase that connects the third and fourth floors.
The Guardia Civil believed that the attacker knew him and brought him to his temporary home.
DNA analysis will be used for formal identification as there are no documents of identity on him or the premises.
The US Embassy Madrid is working closely with Spanish authorities in order to find Djinn Mary’s family. They have also requested DNA from them.
The Guardia’s investigation is complicated by the condition of the property, and the amount of time since Djinn was murdered.
Initial autopsy revealed that the cause of death was stab wounds. The injury to his leg caused massive bleeding as a result of a partial cutting off his femoral vessels.
All signs point to the musician fleeing from his attacker. First, he took refuge in his bedroom in the upper part.
In a serious state of injury, he then tried to descend the stairs before collapsing in between two floors.
