Celebrated Finnish blues musician Jo Buddy is heading to the Costa del Sol next month, where he will perform five concerts as part of his mini tour of Andalucía. Despite being born in Finland the Lifetime Achievement Award-winning and International Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Jo Buddy has lived in London for the past year and established himself as a blues musician in London.
Buddy is known for his unique style. His music is a mix of ragtime and swing, New Orleans Blues, swamp boogie, and jump.
Buddy is a performer who has performed roots music for over 40 year and his repertoire is mainly composed by himself.
He has recorded and performed with many celebrated blues musicians including the legendary Jamaican guitarist Big Joe Louis, and the renowned pianist Diz.
He has played thousands of gigs across 17 countries including The Netherlands France Sweden Russia Jamaica Senegal USA.
Ses tours along the coast begin at Huber Art and Culture in Estepona on Friday, 4 April (Calle San Antonio). The concert starts at 9pm.
Buddy will also perform on the 5th of April at 8pm in Los Boliches Fuengirola.
The tour continues at El Bar de las Motos in Benalmádena on Sunday 6 (6.30pm); the ZZ Pub in Malaga the following night (11.30pm); and he will return to Estepona for the final show at Louie Louie on Wednesday 9 (8pm).
