The end-of-term student trip in Mallorca turned violent, with one teen being stabbed.
The incident happened between student holidaymakers in the popular resort town of Alcúdia early this Thursday morning (Thursday April 17).
The incident occurred during one of many large-scale fights that involved more than 200 students who were staying at Hotel Bellevue, located on Avinguda pere Mas i reus.
As fights spilled into the streets, police had to intervene.

The students – all from mainland Spain – were on end-of-term trips and had been partying in and around the hotel when tensions erupted. Many people needed medical treatment and some were rushed into hospital.
According to reports, the stabbed teen is in a stable condition. He is not in imminent danger of death.

Hotel Bellevue, according to local authorities has hosted 2,700+ students in the past week. Multiple incidents have been reported. Since the influx of students, the area has experienced an increase in noise complaints, disturbances, as well as emergency calls.
Police described the situation as ‘worrying’, with concerns mounting over safety during the peak school trip season. Police say they’re working with hotels and schools to stop further incidents of violence.
Locals have expressed their frustration as the tourist area prepares to be busy during the summer. The number of calls for tighter regulation on student tour groups visiting St. Lucia is increasing.
