Estepona has arrested a German fugitive who had been hiding in the expat community since last year.
Guardia Civil de Estepona arrested a German man aged 36 who was wanted on a European arrest warrant.
The Home Secretary revealed today that he was part of a drug trafficking gang operating throughout Europe.
Ten people were arrested by police in October, last year after the dismantling of a drug operation.
The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain were the main recipients.
Police seized 300kg of illicit substances alongside firearms, jewellery, ammunition, explosives and €430,000 in cash.

The German fugitive is the last member of the group to be apprehended.
The Essen Financial Crime Unit, and the Duisburg Prosecutor’s Office informed Guardia Civil that the man was in Malaga as early as this month.
According to a declaration, he has been living under a fake identity in Estepona for the past year.
Police also recovered €17,500 in cash alongside drugs like pink cocaine, MDMA and speed.

Now he has been handed over the Court Number 6 of Madrid. The drug trafficker is being held in prison until extradition to Germany.
