There will be extreme heat on Tuesday. The Spanish national weather agency issued a second extreme heat alert for Tuesday, as temperatures may reach 40c.

Costa Del Sol Heat Warning Extending

The Yellow weather warning is in effect for Tuesday’s extreme heat. (19th August). Spain’s national weather agency (AEMET) Temperatures could reach 40c at some places on the Costa Del Sol.  The weather warning is valid between 1pm to 9pm

High temperatures may pose a potential risk Pet owners are reminded to provide shade, water and shelter for their pets.  The Costa Del Sol has also been hit by fires that have caused havoc.

Fires that are caused by high temperatures will be dealt with by emergency services.

Weather Warnings Types

Yellow: Be prepared. The next few days could bring severe weather that will affect the people living in the area. Yellow indicates you should prepare for travel delays and disruptions to your normal activities.

Amber: Prepare yourself. Be prepared.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather conditions are expected. Red means that people in the affected areas need to take immediate action to protect themselves and others from the effects of the weather. It is possible that there will be widespread damage and disruption of travel, power and electricity.
