A Syrian refugee slashed a SPANIARD in the neck on the Berlin Holocaust Memorial.
Last Friday, at Berlin’s Holocaust Memorial, a 30-year old Spanish tourist was stabbed to death in the neck.
The man, from Biscay in northern Spain was seriously injured but is ‘recovering well’ in a Berlin hospital.
German authorities believe that the suspect, a Syrian refugee aged 19, is responsible.

According to sources from the Berlin Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was unaccompanied when he arrived in the country.
They claimed the attack had ‘religious motivation’ and the man had reportedly spent weeks ‘planning to kill jews’.
A press release stated that “that’s why he selected the Holocaust Memorial.”
The incident took place at around 6pm last Friday and reportedly has ‘connection to conflict in the Middle East.’

According to German Home Secretary, Nancy Faeser, the attack is an ‘an atrocity, a brutal crime.’
The young man applied for asylum in 2023 but was only granted refugee status by October 2024.
He lived during this period in Leipzig in eastern Germany, in refugee accommodations.
He was arrested less than 24 hour after the beginning of the contentious election campaign where migration is at the forefront of the debate.
The police said that the man was found to have blood on his hands at the time of his arrest. The man was also wearing a light-colored outfit and had no identification with him.
The Spanish embassy in Berlin are reportedly doing ‘all they can’ to help the victim, including maintaining regular contact with his family.
