BYD has introduced the ATTO 2 SUV. It offers the elevated ride height of a SUV in a package more tailored to urban streets and the parking arrangements.

The sides of the vehicle have lower cladding with highlights to emphasize the height. ATTO 2 comes in Climbing Grey paint as standard, with three shades – Hiking Green, Skiing White and Cosmos Black – available as options.

BYD’s interiors are known for their premium materials. The interior features padded surfaces throughout the cabin, integrated handles on the front and back doors as well as the lower console.

The centre console has a pair cup holders and an armrest that opens to reveal a storage area. The drive selector has a diamond-cut look. Around it, there are hard keys that control some functions such as windscreen defogger, a volume knob to adjust the sound and a switch for changing driving modes.

The panoramic glass roof allows for generous amounts of natural lighting to be enjoyed by all passengers. BYD e-Platform’s 3.0 is designed for EVs, and features a completely flat flooring. This allows the rear seats to be used by families.

The ATTO 2 has a boot that measures 400 litres. This can be increased up to 1,340 when the split folding back seat is lowered.

Blade Battery is a space-saving technology, as cells are installed directly rather than in modules. The Blade Battery technology allows for more cells to fit into the same space than a traditional battery construction. The Blade Battery is 100% nickel and cobalt free.

ATTO 2 is available in two different battery sizes. The standard range, which will be launched at launch, has a rating capacity of 45.1 kWh. This range provides a driving range of 195miles. Its motor is mounted on the front and produces 130 kW.

In the next few months, the ATTO 2 standard-equipment list and range structure as well the full specs will be revealed.
