According to a ranking, SPAIN is home to three of the 100 best cities for travelers in the world.

Madrid ranked second on the list of data analytics companies Euromonitor.

Madrid is believed to have been chosen because of its cultural influence, economic strength and commitment towards safety.

Barcelona, which has many of the works by master architect Gaudi, was ranked tenth in Spain.

The city’s economic performance will soar next year as it increases the tourist tax and invests in housing.

Paris was the top tourist destination in the world for the fourth year running, cementing its position as the ‘city of love’.

Tokyo, Rome and Milan rounded out the top five.

New York, Amsterdam Sydney, and Singapore were all listed below.

The list is created every year by the respected company based upon infrastructure, economics, culture, sustainability, and safety.

Palma was located in between Nice, France, and Honolulu Hawaii.

Nadejda popova, Euromonitor International’s global head of loyalty, stated: “Less traveled destinations and third-tiered cities will rise in popularity due to travellers seeking hidden gems and off-season experiences, and responsible tourism.”

The new currency of travel will be culturally enriching and personalised experiences.
