‘Cristiano loves going to Marbella’: Is the footballing legend eyeing an investment in Malaga?

FOOTBALLING legend Cristiano Ronaldo could be eyeing up an investment in Malaga with his current colleague saying that the baller ‘loves going to Marbella’, according to Malga Hoy.

“He loves Malaga and Andalucia, as well as going to Marbella.” Rafa, a Malaga-born coach who is currently working at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo’s club, said that Ronaldo also loves padel, wrestling and knows Malaga as one of Spain’s most important cities.

Gil, who is spending his holiday in Malaga with Malaga Hoy, told them that Ronaldo had bought shares in Almeria.

This investment was made by Ronaldo in February – he purchased a 25% stake in Spanish club, UD Almeria.

Speaking on this move, the player said that he has ‘had the ambition to contribute to football beyond the pitch’ for a long time.

Gil himself was pleased to return to his hometown and watch Malaga CF, stating that the club’s ‘fans are spectacular’ and ‘full of Malaga spirit’.

In terms of their players, he is particularly fond of Izan Merino who he called a ‘fantastic footballer’ and the ‘compass’ of the Costa del Sol club.

Ronaldo had been seen in Spain prior to Gil’s comments. The Olive Press reported previously on his romantic getaway to Mallorca, which he took in 2024.
