Minuit 10 has a unique French accent and a feeling of walking across the desert with Harry Dean Stanton in his shoes, while Alice Coltrane combines her mysticism with Harry Dean Stanton.
They are not jazz musicians most of the times, but they do occasionally dip into instrumentalisations which echo the contemporary Jazz hooks.
This quintet defines themselves as ‘progressive Jazz’, but that box does not give them the artistic credit they deserve. While they do have that freedom of Postmodern Jazz, this is more a contemporary audio art form, something completely new in concept, without the uncomfortable inaccessibility that sometimes accompanies what one might term ‘Free Jazz.’
Delicate, enigmatic & evocative – a soundscape with moody elements.
The arrival of Morgane (vocals), and Guilhaume (double bass) in their latest album Sans Bruit opens up a new stage. The work pays a sensitive tribute to the beauty of those who remain invisible, unheard, or hidden.
Clarence Jazz Club will host Minuit 10 on Friday, 7th February at 10pm. Tickets cost between €15 and €18. Clarence Jazz Club in Torremolinos is on Calle Danza Invisible 8, Torremolinos.
