Fuengirola’s best at work in Valencia

The award is given to 13 firefighters who helped in Valencia during the recovery effort after the DANA flooding. Led by Chief José Julián Bueno, the team, worked tirelessly in the crisis zone.
According to Mayor Ana Mula, this medal is the highest honor under Fuengirola Fire Service regulations. It marks an historic first for the City. The ceremony included individual public congratulation for those colleagues who worked double shifts at home to cover the absence of their colleagues, ensuring Fuengirola’s safety.
Mula praised the team’s solidarity, unequivocally calling them ‘heroes’ who embody the Fuengirola’s values. Their actions in Valencia along with local firefighters who held up the fort have won widespread community pride.
Fuengirola expressed its gratitude to the firefighters for their courage and dedication in one of Spain’s most devastating natural disasters.
