Torremolinos is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting local sport, opening the doors for athletes and sports clubs to apply for a share of a €43,500 cash pot aimed at helping them compete at official events.

The Council has set up a window of 20 days for applications. The Town Hall has launched a grant program to support local sports stars, clubs and federations.

You can already download the official application form and guidelines. Torremolinos funding portal (transparencia.torremolinos.esAll applications are to be submitted electronically through the General Electronic Register (GER) of the Torremolinos Town Hall.

It’s not a free for all. The funding isn’t handed out on a first-come, first-served basis – it’s allocated based on a points system, taking into account Factors such as sporting achievements, the organisation of events in Torremolinos and the number participants are all important.
