The International Theatre Studio, the oldest English-speaking amateur dramatic society on the Costa del Sol will be hosting its popular Lark In The Park charity event on Sunday, 15 June, as part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations. The non profit organisation will present a cultural evening that includes open-air theatre, musical entertainment and other forms of entertainment. Its goal is to raise funds for Aspandem – a Costa-based organization for people with special needs.
The cultural event will start with a picnic in Parque Torre Leonera at 3pm, followed by a show at the amphitheatre starting at 6pm.
Based in Marbella, the theatre group invites all to bring a picnic and have a fun evening supporting local charities. Entrance to the event is based on a donation.
The night will feature the Val Hala Fashion Show, written by Sheila Mellor and Sandra Mole, and Kate Jackson, and the Del Sol Singers led by Karen Danzig who will perform a variety of summer songs.
In 1975, a group formed by people with similar interests to offer a high quality of theatre in the English speaking community along the coast. The group performs a variety of genres including comedy, tragedy and drama. The group is made up of over 100 members, including a talented pool experienced producers and director.
