Costa Del Sol set for scorching Sunday Spain’s National Weather Agency has issued a heat alert for Sunday, as temperatures on the Costa Del Sol could reach 42 degrees.

A yellow weather warning is in effect Sunday (17th August). Spain’s National Weather Agency (AEMET) The weather warning warns that temperatures in certain parts of Costa Del Sol could reach 42c.  The weather warning is valid between 1pm to 9pm.

High temperatures could pose a threat The pet owners of the area are reminded that they should provide shade and water to their animals.  The Costa Del Sol has also been hit by fires that have caused havoc.

Yellow: Be prepared. Weather conditions could be severe in the coming days, and this may affect those living near the affected area. Yellow means you should prepare for travel delays and disruptions to your everyday activities.

Amber: Prepare. It is more likely that bad weather will affect people in the area. This could cause travel delays, rail and road closures, power interruptions and even the risk of life and property.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather can be expected. Red means the area is at risk and people should act now to ensure their safety and that of others. It is possible that there will be widespread damage and disruptions to travel, power and communication.
