Costa Del Sol: Weather Alert for the Midweek

Andalucia’s regional government announced all schools would be closed on Wednesday Almeria is excluded.  The severe weather warning was issued by the Spanish national weather agency, AEMET.

Amber weather warnings in place Costa Del Sol Wednesday (4th February),  The warnings are for gale force 8 winds which could reach speeds of up to 80kmh, and torrential rain fall of 15mm an hour . The coast could be hit by waves up to 4 metres high. The warnings start at midnight and last 24 hours.  Amber is a level that is second in severity among the different weather warning levels.

The alert will be reduced to a yellow caution on Thursday. Throughout the day, torrential rain and winds of gale 7 are expected.
