Costa Del Sol Heat Warning for Saturday The official Spanish weather agency issued a yellow warning for Saturday.

Costa Del Sol Saturday Heat Warning

On Saturday, the Costa Del Sol is still under a heat warning. (25th July).  AEMET has issued a warning that temperatures could rise to 38 degrees Celsius.  The warning is in effect from 1pm to 9pm.  Yellow is the least serious of the three levels of warning.

High temperatures could pose a threat Pet owners are reminded to provide shade, water and shelter for their pets.  Fires are also more likely to spread, which has been known in the past to destroy areas on the Costa Del Sol.

Fires that are caused by high temperatures will be dealt with by emergency services.

Weather Warnings Types

Yellow: Be alert. The next few days could bring severe weather that will affect the people living in the area. Yellow indicates that you need to plan ahead for possible travel delays or disruptions of your daily activities.

Amber: Prepare. It is more likely that bad weather will affect people in the area. This could cause travel delays, rail and road closures, power interruptions and even the risk of life and property.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather conditions are expected. Red means the area is at risk and people should act now to ensure their safety and that of others. It is possible that there will be widespread damage and disruptions to travel, power and communication.
