More than half of Spain’s regions, including Andalucia have yellow weather warnings in place for rain and storms. The Costa del Sol is also expected to see rain on Tuesday.
Aemet (the State Meteorological Agency) has issued alerts for parts of Andalucia and Aragon. They also apply to Asturias, Balearic Islands Cantabria Catalunya Galicia Navarre, Basque Country, Cantabria.
Andalucia is currently warning of coastal phenomena such as westerly winds up to 50 km/hr and waves up to three metres.

On Tuesday, between 2pm-8pm, the same provinces will be under a yellow alert. This warning also extends to the Strait of Cadiz. Rain is expected for the Costa del Sol.
Strong winds will continue to blow throughout the day on Wednesday in Almeria and Granada.
Aemet says Tuesday in Andalucia will see ‘cloudy skies with occasional widespread showers, which could be accompanied by storms in the interior during the afternoon, but with less of a probability on the Mediterranean coast’
The forecaster predicts that rain is likely to fall between 12pm-6pm, and over 90% of the area’s municipalities are likely to be soaked.
A “generalized” drop in temperatures, not exceeding -10°C, is also expected.
A polar air mass will cause a significant drop in temperatures, with 20C being the maximum value expected in Almeria or Sevilla.
Showers could increase in intensity and be localised, but will cover most of Spain. This includes the Balearic Islands.
Aemet forecasts cloudy intervals on Wednesday, with a chance of rain in the afternoon.
Easter will be unpredictable with fronts from Atlantic storms creating showers between Good Friday to Easter Day.
