Competa’s Winter Wonderland: Snow on Maroma Mountain – CSN News.

Competa residents were treated to a breathtaking sight this week as snow blanketed Maroma Mountain’s peak.

Heavy snowfall from late January into early February has transformed Tejeda and Almijara mountain ranges into winter wonderlands, inspiring locals to post pictures on social media showing its breathtaking scenes.

A number of roads – forest paths as well as paved streets – have been left covered with ice, making travel both hazardous and difficult in many locations around the region. Local authorities have advised drivers to be wary when traversing such wintry conditions, especially those more remote parts.
