The chances of developing Parkinson’s Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, as well severe liver or kidney problems, are reduced.

Aurelio Rojas, a cardiologist, believes that the benefits of coffee can be lost if it is consumed at the wrong time.

On his social media channel, he says that drinking caffeine-containing coffee later in the afternoon will cause metabolic problems and sleep issues.

He suggests that drinking coffee all day can be counterproductive, and that it’s best to drink it in the morning.

Rojas is referred to as a European Heart Journal Study shows that drinking coffee in mornings can reduce your risk of heart disease by up to 31 percent, and premature death by 17 percent.

Research shows that drinking coffee during other hours can alter circadian rhythms, and also counter melatonin or cortisol. These are two hormones important for a good night’s sleep and staying awake.

Drinking later can also increase blood pressure, and cause inflammation that could lead to heart problems.

Aurelio Rojas stated: “It would seem that people who have coffee only in mornings live longer, and are less likely to suffer a heart attack.”

He said he was also surprised at the number of people on social media who recommended drinking coffee in the evening.

He added, “This could increase stress levels and prevent proper sleep.”
