The iconic Hotel Los Monteros, located in Marbella, has reopened after undergoing renovations and expansion.
The Marbella Classic was first opened in 1962, and it had been through many difficulties before its new owners Kimpton took over. Kimpton Los Monteros, a new hotel that elegantly revives its historical grandeur with a casual and cool atmosphere, has opened. The hotel has 195 rooms with a stylish design, including 60 suites. Most of them have large terraces or sea views.
El Equipo Creativo in Barcelona, an award-winning studio, is responsible for this transformation that combines both classic and contemporary elements. Estudio Cristina Carrulla combines natural materials with intense colours to capture the essence of Mediterranean culture.
There are gardens and lounges that can be used for different purposes. A large lounge, with capacity for 250 people, has a panoramic rooftop terrace and an exclusive beachclub. Kimpton Kickstart is a new morning coffee and tea service. Kimpton Social-Social Hour, yoga mats, and pet-friendly policies will also be offered to guests.
‘We present a fresh and vibrant energy, fusing the legacy of Los Monteros with the distinct essence of Kimpton, celebrating our local culture and gastronomy, and offering exclusive experiences,’ said Merry Antoja, general manager of the hotel.
As far as gastronomy is concerned, the award-winning Michelin star holder José Carlos García is curating menus as Executive Chef. Prices per room start from €340 per night.
