Urgently required funds
The tournament is raising funds for ACE (Animal Care España) Shelter in La Cala de Mijas, a registered Spanish charity (CIF G93514973) dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and abused dogs and cats across the Costa del Sol and beyond.
Fabienne paques has been running the shelter since the year 2000. She has dedicated much of her life in the cause, along with her late spouse, who sadly passed two years earlier. ACE provides care for more than 500 dogs and over 200 cats at any given time. The shelter relies solely on donations, as it does not receive government funding. The shelter is heavily dependent on a small group of staff members and a large team of volunteers.
All animals are castrated or sterilised before being rehomed (all costs are covered by the charity), while potential adopters and foster carer candidates undergo a thorough pre-screening. Over the past few years, ACE have rescued and helped over 36,000 dogs as well as around 6,000 cats to find loving homes.
Currently, the main objective is to urgently raise €5,000 for a new generator that will power the centre’s clinic. The previous one sustained serious damage during Storm Francis, and subsequently, the centre went for a week without power – something that distressed the canine residents greatly.

Enjoy a round of golf with good company, and help some of the most vulnerable animals in the region!
