Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro are holding their Charity Gala Dinner Dance fundraiser on Saturday, May 31, at El Gamonal.
The fundraising campaign has two goals: to continue the growth and expansion of Age Concern’s Social and Activity Centre and also to fund their Hardship Fund. The centre, located in San Pedro, provides space for events, activities, and private counseling to those who need face-to-face welfare advice, support, and help. According to Steve Marshall of Age Concern, ‘It is directed at those of our expat neighbours who find themselves in temporary financial difficulties. We provide a one-time lifeline to cover unexpected expenses. Hands up Instead of a long-term Handout.’
All drinks are included until the end of dinner. The evening begins at 7.30pm, with a welcome cocktail. A quality raffle will include vintage Scandinavian jewelry and a vintage Louis Vuitton cosmetic case. Mr Maph has agreed to sing at the event. He has performed in London’s O2 Arena with Imagination, Shakatak, Otis Redding, III and more locally at the Marbella Arena. Mr Maph will be entertaining guests with sensational Soul and Motown music – this is an evening not to be missed, helping Age Concern to help those most in need amongst our expat neighbours.
