Tireless Costa del Sol fundraiser Alan Boardman is back with another of his popular fun quizzes set to entertain and raise vital funds for local charities. Put the next one in your calendar for Monday, March 9, at 2.30pm, when the event kicks off at Fibbers Irish Bar in Torreblanca on Fuengirola’s promenade.

With a modest entry fee of just €2 per person, participants can pit their wits against trivia questions while supporting a worthy cause – all in aid of ADIMI in Mijas.

Non-stop charity fundraiser

This month’s beneficiary, ADIMI (Asociación Para Personas Con Discapacidad De Mijas), is a non-profit organisation founded in September 1999 by parents of children with intellectual disabilities. Dedicated to providing care, treatment, and support, ADIMI operates the F. Cruz Dias-ADIMI Care Centre in Mijas, serving more than 100 individuals with tailored programmes to improve their quality of life. Celebrating its 25th anniversary recently, the association focuses on inclusion, therapy, and community integration for people with reduced mental capacity.

Pictured above is Alan handing over a cheque for €1,028 to Sue Barnes, founder of the equine sanctuary S.E.A.R.C.H. (Society for Equine Animal Rescue Care and Help). The funds were amassed through donations from January and February fun quizzes, plus February’s Mijas walking tours. “All the very best, Sue, as you continue your dedicated care for the nine rescued horses under your protection,” Alan noted in his accompanying post.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join in the fun and make a difference. Whether you’re a trivia buff or just looking for an enjoyable afternoon out, Alan’s quiz promises great company and a chance to contribute to ADIMI’s essential work. Head to Fibbers on March 7 – spaces fill up fast!
