Marbella Basketball Club, currently ranked number 3, completed its sweep over the Malaga City neighbors with a tight one against Unicaja Andalucia. The score was 78-52.
Marbella on Saturday prevailed in the teams’ second meeting of the season, each game seemingly becoming more consequential, with Marbella knocking off Malaga 87-80 at Pabellón José María Martin Urbano.
Marbella stayed on top of the game and started off with a bang. Malaga’s team was also dealt a heavy blow. Marbella defeated Unicaja by 84-74 in their January duel at the Carlos Cabezas Pavilion.
Christopher Mortellaro was instrumental to the Marbs winning the game. He scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds, along with 3 assists.
Pedro Lopez returned to his former self after being on injury list. He came into the court with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. Anibal Buzzo was the third Marbella player with a double, scoring 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
