Casting call for Inspector Drake and Perfekt Crime

The International Theatre Studio announces auditions for their upcoming production, Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime. This fast-paced comedy, written by David Tristram and packed with slapstick humor and sharp comic timing, is a fast-paced comedy.

The play will be directed by Martin Curd and run from October 17, 2025 to November 19, 2025, at the El Paraiso Hotel. Performances begin at 7:30pm every evening.

Audition will take place on Sunday 20th July at 12:30pm in the Age Concern Centre, San Pedro. The production, directed by Sue Hall and stage managed by Sue Moreton, includes roles for 3 men and 3 women.

The story follows Inspector Drake as he investigates if Doctor Short killed his fourth wife or if he was first attacked by her. The play features quirky characters such as the PC Plod and Dr. Short. It also includes the mysterious Sabrina. Did Dr. Short have a wife who was a warthog, or was she a hapless PC Plod instead?

Casting Details:

  • Drake (male of any age): A romantic and possibly insane detective.
  • PC Plod, a male over 40, is a bumbling constable and the subject of countless jokes.
  • Dr. Short, (Male 50-70 years old): intelligent, sneaky, dry-witted and not particularly likeable.
  • Sabrina (20s-50s), Female: She is young enough to be the daughter of Dr. Short.
  • Miss Short (Female in her 20s-50s), is she really the daughter of Dr. Short?
  • Mrs. Short (Female of any age) Dr. Short’s fourth wife with a pivotal but small role.
