Carlos Alcaraz won his 18th career title with an impressive comeback against Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in the Monte Carlo Masters Final (6-3,1-6,6-0).

The Spanish sensation now ranks No. 2 in the ATP rankings, just behind Jannik Sinner. Just behind Jannik Siner, the Spanish sensation is ranked No.

A rollercoaster game with a dominant conclusion

Rain delayed the match and it was full of surprises. Alcaraz took the first set with ease, winning it 6-3. Musetti won the second game 6-1 by capitalizing on Alcaraz’s errors.

Alcaraz re-established the momentum in the final game, just when it appeared that the tide had turned. He defeated a Musetti that was visibly fatigued, winning 6-0 and claiming the title.

Alcaraz speaks out about recent struggles

Alcaraz acknowledged that the last few weeks have not been easy.

‘It’s been a tough month for me, both on and off the court,’ He said. ‘I was struggling to focus my attention, but everything fell into place today.

Under the guidance of coach Samuel López, Alcaraz adjusted his strategy, playing more aggressively near the baseline and targeting Musetti’s backhand. The Italian couldn’t compete in the last set after a long week of matches.

Alcaraz wins historic victory

Alcaraz, who is 21 years old now, has become the youngest Monte Carlo winner since Rafael Nadal. This victory has also strengthened his lead in the ATP Race and made him one of top favorites going into the French Open.

What’s next in Alcaraz’s future?

Alcaraz has now surpassed Alexander Zverev to become the number two player in the ATP rankings. It is the No. 2 ranking in ATP. Next up for him? His next challenge? The Madrid Open. He’ll be aiming for another title by his 22nd birthday.
