Starting April 10, La Casa de Las Tejerinas in Estepona’s Plaza de las Flores will host Pasos hacia lo Inefable (Steps Toward the Ineffable), an exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Carla Hurtado.
The exhibition, which is curated by Mikey Rico and features 14 works in four series, shows Hurtado’s emotional mix of artistry and emotion.
The Niñas de Luna series includes four acrylic-on-canvas pieces, while Universo offers five works combining acrylic and flexible modelling paste. Renacer presents four textured acrylic canvases, and Tótem displays a striking marine sculpture crafted from epoxy putty on stone. ‘My work is an intimate and universal journey,’ Hurtado explains. ‘With this exhibition, I want to explore what cannot be named but can be felt, something transcending the tangible to touch the emotional, spiritual, and inexplicable.’
Hurtado, born in Alicante, moved to San Vicente del Raspeig, Spain, in 1996. This is where she began her artistic journey. She expanded her craft and modelling skills between 2013 and 2015. She excelled in polymer clay, handmade jewellery, and other crafts. Her latest exhibition invites the viewer into her inner and exterior landscapes. Each brushstroke is a step towards the ineffable.
This exhibition will be open to the general public from 9am-8pm on Tuesdays to Fridays and from 9am-2pm on Saturdays. Do not miss the Casa de las Tejerinas in Estepona for this fascinating showcase.
