Silvio Garciattini, oncologist and research scientist, believes that olive oil is a great addition to a healthy diet. But taking it without food does not increase its benefits.

The Language of Speaking Vanity Fair Garattini, a magazine editor, said that olive oil contains oleic acids and polyphenols which have anti-inflammatory properties.

Its nutritional makeup makes it a food that should be included in every diet. This is because it lowers the risk for diseases such as inflammation, and it is a better alternative to butter when you need fat.

The expert said, “But taking it on an empty stomach in the morning is neither good nor harmful, but is simply a style that has no scientific backing at this time. I won’t recommend it until there are some studies, when we can discuss it again.”

Garattini uses raw olive oil ‘to dress vegetables’, and indicates that ‘it is not necessary to take it in other ways as within an ordinary diet is perfectly fine’.
