Cancelada celebrates

Cancelada Fair, a celebration of fun, tradition and community will be held from August 21-24, 2025.

There will be over 20 activities organised, catering to all ages, and the event will feature free performances by famous Spanish artists including Rosa López, Amistades Peligrosas, and Las Carlotas, along with a lineup of family-friendly entertainment.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, August 21, at 9pm with the official opening, followed by performances from David Quirós and flamenco dancer Ana Guerrero. The official lighting ceremony will follow, with live music by the Orquesta Metrópolis. The Youth Tent will open at half past midnight with DJs, pop acts, and other entertainment.

Friday, August 22, begins at 12.30pm with the children’s show “La Caja de Música” in Plaza de la Juventud. At 2.30pm the Day Fair will open, with live music by Grupo Latidos. Children can play with inflatables from 3pm to 7.30pm. The football tournament awards are presented at 4pm. The evening features a senior’s gathering at 7pm, followed by Orquesta Metrópolis and a midnight concert by Amistades Peligrosas.

On Saturday, August 23, to cool down a little, a water party at Free Wave Sports Centre starts at 12.30pm, followed by a delicious free paella feast at 2pm, prepared by master chef Raúl Postigo. Capitán Vinilo will take to the stage at 5.30pm, with Orquesta Metrópolis and Rosa López closing the night at midnight.

The fair concludes on Sunday, August 24, with Grupo Latidos and Sótano Sur performing during the day, with Las Carlotas wrapping up the festivities at 11pm.
