In Murcia, burglaries were reported in Lorca as well as Puerto Lumbreras and Santomera.
The criminals also crossed the border into Alicante province to rob properties in Guardamar del Segura, Dolores, and Almoradí.
Operation Twilight, launched by the Guardia Civil late in 2024 in response to an increase in burglaries that caused residents great concern, was launched.
The gang conducted surveillance prior to the attack and confirmed that their targets were not home. They then broke through an exterior fence and forced their way into their homes by forcing their ways through window and doors bars.
After entering, the crew quickly searched all rooms to steal cash and jewellery. They also took some electronic gear in certain cases.
Investigators were able to predict where the gang would travel by analyzing the patterns of behavior and their schedules.
Operation Twilight’s second phase consisted in determining all crimes committed during the dismantling of the gang.
Investigations identified about 50 crimes that occurred between the end date of 2023 to the arrests made in February 2019.
