Brethren of Patience Lodge 2177, Brethren of RAOB have come to their aid after learning that a local charity, in La Marina Village, needed help with its food bank.

The AAN (Asociación de Ayuda Necesitado – Association of Aid to the Needy), a charity run by husband and wife Steve and Brenda Bently, buys food, and cleaning and hygienic products to give back to the community. Brother Dave Tonge of the Roll of Honour lodge secretary contacted this charity to find out if Brotherhood could be of any assistance. Soon after, they started a fundraiser and raised over €1,000 for food and products to help restock the charity’s food bank.

The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, or Buffs in their current form, is a fraternity which was founded in the United Kingdom in 1822. It grew rapidly during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Brotherhood’s focus is on charity, fundraising and mutual support. It also holds frequent Lodge Meetings for Brethren and hosts events, dinners, or other celebrations. Buffs were known for their charitable work since the first world war, when they drove ambulances over battlefields.

Buffs San Fulgencio is actively seeking new members. Anyone interested in joining a worthy cause should contact Brother Dave Tonge ROH at 688 704 091.
