In the wake of Brexit a FRENCH MEP is pushing for the granting of visiting visas to British second-home-owners. This could pave the way for Spain.
Martine Berthet is a French Senator who has sent a letter requesting a new Immigration Bill in November 2023.
The new bill would change the rules on the length of stay that Brits could spend in France.
Brits are currently allowed to stay in Europe for up to 90-days without a Visa. However, this could be increased to 180-days if President Macron signs the bill.

Spain could follow suit if the move is successful.
Many Brits who own a second home or vacation property in Spain hope that the Spanish government will change its travel restrictions. This is despite the fact that there have been discussions about tightening restrictions for Brits.
