British fugitive wanted over ‘several murders’ crashes his car and gets arrested on the Costa del Sol

A British fugitive wanted by police for multiple murders, who crashed his car in Mijas, has been arrested.

The man is said to be linked to a ‘dangerous’ London-based criminal gang.

The Briton, who has not been named, was arrested by himself after an argument took place at a gas station on Thursday lunchtime.

Two Dutch women called police after a British-accented man tried to sell cocaine to them.

Mijas Policia Local Officers watched the security camera footage of the service station, which showed him in his Nissan Qashqai.

Minutes later the car hit a wall in the Riviera del sol area on Calle Orfebres.

The driver was injured and stumbled out, but the officers caught him quickly.

In what remained of his car, they two guns – one with a silencer – along with ammunition and a notebook containing names and addresses.

The Guardia Civil began checking his background.

He was listed in several international criminal databases as a man with a shady history.

It is not known if he was subject to a European Arrest Warrant by UK authorities

The British man was also placed in prison after a court hearing by a Fuengirola magistrate.

The Guardia Civil is continuing its investigations.
