Residents in Almoradi centre complained to the police of noises that were heard in the middle night from machinery in the warehouse.

Guardia officers spotted ‘unusual’ movements outside the building leading them to suspect that a marijuana farm could be inside.

The search warrant was obtained and they discovered that the warehouse had been divided into several areas.

Camouflaged doors hid what the Guardia described as a ‘sophisticated’ plantation.

The automated irrigation, lighting, and ventilation system reduced the need for human labour during the cultivation process.

The 616 large marijuana plants along with the 79 lamps and 23 extractor tubes were seized, as well as fans, tanks, filters, filters, and fertilisers.

The warehouse’s illegal electricity supply was confirmed.
