Brit, 33, arrested in Mallorca for ‘breaking security guard’s jaw’ after trying to enter woman’s hotel room


A British man punched the MALLORCA hotel guard who suffered a fractured jaw.

The incident took place early on Monday in the Calvia municipal area, which includes popular tourist resort Magaluf.

Three men, who did not stay at the hotel (which was unnamed), tried to enter the room of the female guest.

The Brit, 33, punched the guard in the face after he blocked their path.

The victim lost several teeth and suffered a fracture, but the trio took off.

The Guardia Civil searched nearby hotels for the British tourist. They found him in his hotel room, where he was detained.

Later, he was brought before a court on charges of serious injury.

The security guard is still in hospital after undergoing an operation.
